Breast Lift

After a pregnancy, weight loss, menopause or simply with age, the shape of your breasts can change. The skin becomes laxer, volume in the upper pole decreases and the nipples can end up sitting lower.

With a breast lift Laura can restore the shape and position of your breasts, and that is about more than removing excess skin. Your own breast tissue is reshaped and firmed up as well, to achieve the most natural and stable result possible.

A lift with or without extra volume?

Not every breast lift needs an implant. If you have enough breast tissue of your own, Laura can often create a beautiful new breast shape with it.

If you would also like more volume or fullness in the upper pole of your breasts, a breast lift can be combined with a breast implant. In some situations lipofilling with your own fat can be an alternative or an addition.

During the consultation Laura looks together with you at your current breast shape, skin quality and volume, and above all at what you would like to change.

Scars after a breast lift

A breast lift always means that scars develop. How extensive they are depends on how much skin has to be removed and how far the breast has to be lifted.

Laura finds it important to discuss this honestly beforehand: against a better shape and a higher position of the breast stand permanent scars. They usually become much calmer and less noticeable over time, but they never disappear completely.

Recovery

For the first few weeks your breasts are swollen and you wear a supportive bra. After about two weeks you can pick up most daily activities again, and after six weeks on average you can gradually resume exercising.

The shape of your breasts keeps changing over the months that follow. The final result is therefore only assessed after about six months.
