Lipofilling
In lipofilling your own fat is used to fill the breasts. The fat is first harvested elsewhere on your body with a liposuction technique adapted for the purpose, filtered and then injected. The advantage is clear: your body’s own material goes in instead of an implant.
At the same time there are limits to what lipofilling can do, and Laura discusses those beforehand.
What lipofilling can and cannot do
Only a limited amount of fat can be injected per treatment, often around 200 cc. About half of that does not survive, which makes the eventual volume smaller than what was injected during the procedure.
It is also good to know that these fat cells move with your weight: if you gain weight they increase in volume, and if you lose weight the volume decreases again.
Hybrid breast augmentation
In a hybrid breast augmentation both a breast implant is used, to create volume and firmness, and lipofilling, to narrow the cleavage and soften the contours of the breasts. A method that is gaining popularity, because it makes it possible to meet women’s wishes even better.
During the consultation Laura looks at whether lipofilling suits your wish, or whether an implant or a combination of the two gives a better result.
