Liposculpture
Sometimes localized deposits of fat persist, even when you live healthily, exercise and have a stable weight. As a result, the proportions of your body can be different from what you would like.
With liposculpture Laura can remove localized fat and refine the contours of your body. It is not a treatment for losing weight, and the quality and elasticity of your skin are important for the eventual result.
Contours and proportions
During the consultation Laura looks at your build, fat distribution and skin quality. How much fat can be removed is not the only thing that matters; above all it is where and how much, so that the various body contours stay in good proportion to each other.
Laura works with the PAL technique (Power Assisted Liposuction), in which the fat is removed through small incisions with a fine vibrating cannula. Depending on the areas treated, the procedure takes one to two hours on average.
Skin quality and result
Liposculpture removes fat, but it does not automatically make lax skin tighter. Certainly after substantial weight loss, pregnancy, or during and after menopause, skin quality may have changed. Sometimes liposculpture is therefore not the best treatment, or a combination with another treatment is needed.
Recovery
After the treatment, swelling, bruising and stiffness are normal and you temporarily wear compression garments. Usually you can pick up your daily activities again after a few days.
The contours gradually become visible as the swelling subsides. The definitive result is assessed after about six months.
