Breast Augmentation

A breast augmentation is not only about more volume. Above all it is about shape, proportions and what suits your body.

Perhaps your breasts are small or less developed by nature. Perhaps the volume changed after a pregnancy, after weight loss or in another stage of life. Every breast is different, and so is every breast augmentation.

A natural result

Most women who come to Laura want breasts that suit their body naturally, more than anything else. During the consultation she looks at your breast shape, skin, the amount of breast tissue of your own and your body proportions, and at what you would like to change.

With sizers and a 3D simulation you get as realistic an impression as possible of what is possible for you. Not every wish can be achieved. Honest and transparent explanation of what does and does not suit your body is therefore something Laura finds important.

Round or anatomical?

There are round and anatomical breast implants, both in different sizes and projections. Neither type is by definition more beautiful or more natural than the other.

An anatomical implant can be beautiful when there is little breast shape of your own and more volume in the lower pole is wanted, for example. A round implant can help to create more balance between the upper and lower pole of the breast.

Laura works with both shapes. Which one suits you best is determined by your own breast shape, your proportions and the result you want to achieve.

Above or partly under the pectoral muscle?

The position of the implant is determined individually as well.

In a dual plane breast augmentation the implant lies partly under the pectoral muscle. Particularly in women with little breast tissue of their own, this can provide extra coverage and a natural transition.

If you have enough breast tissue of your own, the implant can be placed above the pectoral muscle. Recovery is usually somewhat faster then and the breasts feel supple sooner.

Which technique gives the most beautiful and most stable result depends on your breast tissue, breast shape, skin and anatomy, among other things.

Recovery and guidance

Laura always performs your surgery herself and stays personally involved during your recovery as well. Throughout the entire process you also have your own dedicated consultant as your point of contact.

After about six weeks you can usually start exercising again quietly. The final result develops over the months that follow.

Long-term care as well

Even years after a breast augmentation, questions about your breasts or implants can come up. That is why you can turn to Laura in the longer term too, and why she developed an MRI follow-up program for checking breast implants.
