Upper Eyelid Correction

With age, the skin of the upper eyelids can slacken and start to hang over the eyelid crease. That can make you look tired even when you are not. Sometimes the eyelid feels heavy or applying make-up becomes harder.

With an upper eyelid correction Laura can remove excess skin and restore the natural shape of the upper eyelid, aiming for a fresher look without your looking as though you have had surgery.

A natural result

An upper eyelid correction is not simply about removing as much skin as possible. The shape of your eyes, eyebrows and eyelids has to stay in balance.

During the consultation Laura therefore looks at the whole area around your eyes and discusses what gives a natural result for your face.

Treatment and recovery

The procedure takes place under local anesthesia and lasts about 20 minutes. The scar falls into the natural eyelid crease as much as possible.

In the first few days swelling and bruising are normal. After about a week the sutures are removed and you are usually presentable again. The scar and the eyelids keep becoming calmer over the months that follow.
