Labiaplasty

The shape and size of the inner labia differ from woman to woman. Longer or asymmetrical labia can sometimes cause physical discomfort, for example when cycling, exercising, wearing tight clothing or during sex. It can also simply be that you do not feel comfortable with the way your labia look.

With a labiaplasty Laura can reduce the inner labia or correct a difference between the two sides, while keeping the shape as natural as possible.

What suits you?

During the consultation you discuss what bothers you and what you would like to change. Laura finds it important to also explain what counts as normal anatomical variation and to look together at whether surgery fits your wishes.

During the treatment she carefully removes the excess tissue. The procedure usually takes place under local anesthesia or sedation and lasts about 30 minutes.

Recovery

The labia have a good blood supply and usually heal quickly. In the first few days swelling and tenderness can occur. Laura advises taking it easier during the first week and temporarily avoiding cycling, intensive exercise and sex.

The swelling gradually subsides; the final result can only be assessed properly after a few months.
